FCA Appoints New Vice President for Strategic Advancement & Chief Development Officer
Garden City, N.Y., (February 07, 2021) - FCA, a leading health and human services nonprofit organization on Long Island, has appointed a new Vice President for Strategic Advancement & Chief Development Officer.
A graduate of New York University, Craig Pinto completed both his B.A. in Organizational Behavior and Communication and M.S. in Fundraising and Grant Making. Craig brings a wealth of management, fundraising and event experience in the nonprofit sector to FCA. While at NYU he was given the prestigious NYU Bart Lawson Award for Public Service for his work and dedication to the nonprofit community. More recently, he was named "Best Philanthropist" by Bethpage Federal Credit Union Best of Long Island for 2020.
Prior to joining FCA, Craig lead fundraising efforts at Man Cave Health, Celiac Disease Foundation, Child Care Council of Nassau, and Lawrence Woodmere Academy, focusing on disease research, education, mental health, childcare, and social services.
He has overseen successful growth in both fundraising and participation in virtual and in-person special events, capital campaigns, strategic planning, and annual appeals. His recent oversight of the online campaign, "The Water Bottle Project", utilized social media platforms to raise funds and successfully deliver over 100,000 bottles of clean water to families in Flint, MI, Houston, TX, and the Bahamas, during times of crisis. In 2019, he created an International Student scholarship for Mineola High School students, which helps to cover the cost of college materials for immigrant students or students whose parents have emigrated from another country.
He has been a guest lecturer at California State University, discussing nonprofit management and has also appeared as a guest on various television programs on ABC, TLC, NatGeo, News12, and ESPN. He has also been featured in USA Today, the Chicago Tribune, Books for Better Living, Newsday, as well as Gluten-Free Living magazine. Craig has been a repeat guest on SiriusXM radio, ESPN Radio, and Power 105, to discuss philanthropy, nonprofit development, and the importance of giving back.
