New Programs Steer Young People Toward Productive Paths

Students recruited from Hempstead High School will have the opportunity to strengthen their math and reading skills in FCA’s new Hempstead Ladders to Success Program. Among the many services offered are mentoring/counseling, assistance with college applications, preparation for ACCUPLACER and much more. Through funding providing by the United Way, the program aims to help students attain successful placement test scores and earn credits at Nassau Community College and other schools. The Right Steps to a Bright Future

FCA’s recently launched Step Up 2 Opportunity program combines education and fun to help young people reach their goals and enhance their lives. Eligible youth must be between the ages of 14-18 to take part in career readiness programs, vocational/internship/employment opportunities and educational workshops.
