FCA Receives Generous Donation from Mazars USA
MINEOLA, NEW YORK, January 24, 2019 – FCA, a nonprofit serving vulnerable children, seniors, families and communities on Long Island, is the recipient of a $17,500 donation from Mazars USA LLP. The funds will help to support FCA’s Walkabout program for homeless adolescents and young adults.
Mazars USA’s philanthropic fund strives to provide donations to organizations that help children live healthier and happier lives. The company was inspired to donate to FCA’s Transitional and Independent Living Program, named Walkabout, after visiting the residence as part of its annual Volunteer Days, where they helped maintain the property, beautify the garden and re-organize the attic last spring. Mazars USA plans to attend an additional volunteer day on May 29th in conjunction with its 2019 Giving Theme, Children’s Health and Wellness.
“Our visit to FCA’s Freeport location last May touched us in such a way that we wanted to do more than just plant and clean the grounds,” recalled Craig Fine, Office Managing Partner, Long Island Office, Mazars USA. “Presenting this donation to FCA gave us great pleasure and shows just how much Mazars USA truly cares for the children in our community.”
Commenting on the heartfelt contributions, FCA President/Chief Executive Officer Dr. Jeff Reynolds said, “Many thanks to Mazars USA for their extraordinary commitment to give back to young people in need. The generous donation we received will help FCA deliver vital services to prepare Walkabout residents to live independently in the community. We look forward to hosting Mazars USA at FCA’s Volunteer Day in May, as we continue to work together to transform lives.”Pictured (L to R): Maryann Richer, Senior Manager, Entrepreneur Business Services Group, Mazars LIO; Charlie Pagano, Partner, Mazars LIO; Craig Fine, Managing Partner, Mazars LIO; Andrea Kerr, Program Coordinator, Walkabout, FCA; Lisa Bott, Office Manager, Mazars LIO; Edward Ichart, Partner, Real Estate Group, Mazars LIO; William Best, Director of Residential and Youth Services, FCA; Marc Fernandez, Marketing/Communications Coordinator, FCA; Gary Litvak, Director, Services to Lenders Group, Mazars LIO.
