Supporting Each Other During These Uncertain Times

FCA’s Family First, a clinical division of FCA, provides school-based mental health services to the bilingual Spanish speaking ENL population in the Great Neck and North Shore school districts.  Family First also provides individual, couples and family therapy services.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these services are more critical now than ever.  Aside from providing increased mental health services during these times through telecounseling and virtual platforms, FCA has also partnered with Island Harvest of Long Island to provide youth and their families with even the most basic necessities to ensure not only mental health but physical health as well.

Several students whose families were struggling to make ends meet and to acquire basic needs were assisted by FCA and Island Harvest. Care packages consisting of a variety of food essentials were donated by Island Harvest of Long Island and then delivered to the families by FCA.

As a sign of their gratitude and appreciation, the families sent thoughtful thank you notes to Family First.

FCA is focused on fulfilling our mission to protect and strengthen Long Island’s most vulnerable children, families, seniors and communities now more than ever.  FCA wants to remind you at this time that we are still here for Long Island and still here for you.

FCA would also like to extend a very sincere thank you to Island Harvest for their outstanding work and dedication to the people of Long Island, not only now during this public health crisis but at all times.
